Assistant Restaurant Manager

The Assistant Restaurant Manager will be accountable to the Restaurant Manager.

It is important that applicants possess the following attributes:

  • Knowledge of and a passion for good food and drink, and outstanding customer service.
  • Be a clear communicator, fluent in English and ideally in Maltese, and possibly with knowledge of other languages.
  • A people’s person.
  • Be able to motivate staff by leading from the floor and sharing knowledge and experience.
  • Be driven and goal-oriented.
  • Have certification from the I.T.S or a similar catering college and/or work experience with a well-established restaurant.

All applicants need to be currently living in Malta, and in the case of non-EU nationals, a valid permit to work in Malta and a clean Police conduct are a must.

Main tasks and responsibilities

This role involves collaborating with the other maintenance staff, managing schedules, implementing preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. The Assistant Maintenance Manager will primarily work within the Company’s dynamic environment, occasionally requiring flexibility in working hours to accommodate maintenance needs.

Educational and skill requirements

The below are the required qualifications for the post :

  • Proven experience, minimum 2 years in a maintenance role, preferably in a supervisory or lead capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance principles, techniques, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in using maintenance management software.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality.
  • Electrical wireman license A and B is a requirement.
