House Coordinator

The House Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day care, wellbeing and administrative management of the hostel, under the supervision and guidance of the Service Leader to ensure the smooth operation of the hostel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the household such as housekeeping, shopping and maintaining a clean and organised living space.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Participating regularly in, and facilitating as agreed group meetings and work groups.
  • Contributing with the staff to the development of, and participating in an environment providing supportive accommodation and care.
  • Contributing to a system that enables and empowers each hostel resident to contribute to the service and that promotes their capacity for independence within and outside it.
  • Provide direct care, supervision and emotional support to service users, ensuring their physical and emotional wellbeing.
  • Help service users with activities of daily living (ADLs) as needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ work experience in social care.
  • Educational background in social care and health care will be considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Maltese and English.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask effectively.
  • Flexibility in approach and duties.
