Job Description


We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Assistant to join our client's dynamic IT department. The successful candidate will assist the Head of IT with day-to-day operations, provide first-line support to their staff, and monitor the effectiveness of the IT systems. ABOUT OUR CLIENT

Our client is a bank offering banking services to international corporate clients and is located in Sliema, Malta.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Testing, upgrading, and maintaining IT systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Compliance, reporting, and documentation of IT systems.
  • Conducting policy reviews and maintaining documentation for IT processes.
  • Monitoring and controlling IT systems to ensure reliability and security.
  • Providing IT support to management and staff for technical issues on all systems.
  • Assisting the Head of IT in various tasks and projects as needed.
  • Involved in acquisitions, including liaising with suppliers to procure IT resources.
  • Systems administration, including user account management and access control.
  • Ensuring proper documentation is kept and filed systematically.
  • Collaborating with team members to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.
  • Supporting training initiatives for staff on IT tools and best practices.

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
  • 1- 2 years of experience in a similar role or an internship in IT support is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must possess a very good sense of organization to maintain proper documentation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.

EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

WORKING TIME
Monday to Friday with flexibility in starting time, from 06:30 till 09:00, 40 hours per week with 1 hour break daily.
