Scientific Officer (DNA Forensics)

Job Summary

We are seeking a Scientific Officer to support our lab operations. The ideal candidate will have experience handling biological samples, performing DNA extraction, and using analytical tools to interpret results.

Key Responsibilities

• Exhibit examination, collection and labelling of DNA samples accurately.

• Perform DNA extraction and other lab procedures.

• Analyze DNA using specialized software and lab equipment.

• Prepare clear, detailed reports of findings.

• Maintain precise records of procedures and results as per ISO17025 requirements.

Qualifications

• Degree in Biology, Genetics, or related field

• Experience with DNA extraction and analysis techniques

• Familiarity with lab software and equipment (e.g., PCR, gel electrophoresis)

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
