The London Academy Hair & Makeup Malta provides international Hairdresser and Makeup artist qualifications and shorter courses for those wishing to embark on a career in TV, Beauty and Media Makeup industry.

Each class is designed to provide specific skills to the specific field with great attention to technical details and personal learning styles.

The training is based on real work experience with many hours of practical work  and experience and apprenticeship in the academy's salon.

 The curriculum is developed and updated by professionals meeting the needs of the modern times and industries inspired by the academy's principal Hair & makeup Designer Alex Volpe.

Introduction to Makeup
This course will enable you to initiate your career as a makeup artist in beauty salons and doing bridal makeup. Build up your portfolio and makeup kit/tools.  You will study facial anatomy, skincare, the correct use of tools and products, the principles of lighting and shading in make-up, as well as color mixing and blending the application of bases, and beauty make-up for both day and evening. Make-up application to include the understanding of face shapes, skin characteristics, fashion trends, cultural factors, effects of sunlight. Classes (Maximum 6 students) are taught through practical demonstrations and one-to-one attention on each students work. Students work on each other, training mannequins or a model with a very practical and hands-on approach from day one.  
The course length can vary: Expected attendance minimum one day per week either mornings or afternoon classes (one class). Lessons are on a flexible basis during the week including some festivities for about 3 months (Approximately, depending from attendance). "The cost of the course is 800 euro". (Material and Tools included). A London Academy Malta certificate will be issued at completion of the course.   
Photographic Makeup Award Beginners
Make-up application to include the understanding of face shapes, skin characteristics, fashion trends, cultural factors, effects of sunlight, planning make-up application images, themes, colour, research, use of mood board.
This qualification also provides: Opportunities for learners to develop a range of skills, techniques, personal qualities and attitudes essential for successful performance in employment as a photographic make-up artist. Students work through a comprehensive syllabus addressing the key make-up techniques required by professional artists working in these industries inspired and guided by true professionals. Classes (Maximum 6 students) are taught through practical demonstrations and one-to-one attention on each student’s work. Students work on each other, training mannequins or a model with a very practical and hands-on approach from day one.
An Award by iTEC-VTCT International qualification at Level 2 (Level 3 MQF&amp; Europe Qualification Framework) will be issued.
The course length can vary:
 Usually about 6 months (Approximately depending from attendance) and exams date within the Academic year or within 12 months from the enrolment.
Lessons flexible basis  including some festivities one day per week.
"The cost of the course  is "2200 euro including use of tools at the Academy."
Pay a deposit and the balance due at 0% interest finance can be paid in 4 monthly installments or shorter terms depending from the balance after the deposit payment.

Certified by London Academy Malta.
It is all in the skills that you can build in the academy taught by highly experienced hairstylists.
Particularly suitable for those wishing to begin their hairdressing career or still uncertain if it would be the right choice.
You will gain skills to begin your career in the hairdressing industry (Hair salons or freelance) or continue to gain skills further by undertaking a qualification diploma. 
You will be taught the academy’s systems in hairstyling, hair colouring and lightening and hair cutting.
You will be able to practice on models when suitable.
