Prosailing Malta is a recognised RYA training centre. Our aim at Prosailing Malta is to develop sailing education. We offer a range of RYA courses and the local Transport Malta Basic Seamanship & Boathandlling course, which are suited to meet the the individual needs of all our customers.

Our sailing courses are run on board a Beneteau Oceanis 411 Clipper or Beneteau Oceanis 393, both are medium-sized cruising yacht kitted out specifically for tuition.

Prosailing Malta

This course is a basic introduction to navigation and safety for anyone new to boating: sailors, power boaters, sea anglers, divers and boat masters. Also useful for experienced dinghy and keel boat sailors and inshore racers. Spend a relaxed 2 days in our spacious classroom with one of our friendly instructors who will guide you through all you need to enhance your boating knowledge. The course covers charts and publications, safety, buoyage, tidal awareness, basic navigation and pilotage, rules of the road, electronic navigation, anchoring, weather forecasts, and passage planning. The aim at the end of the course is to get you to a level where you have a basic awareness and understanding of navigation and safety. Once you have completed your theory we have a full range of practical courses available. Course material supplied by the school and included in the price Training Charts and exercise book.

Start Yachting: A Taster To Start Sailing We are a fully recognised RYA training centre. At Prosailing Malta our mission is to deliver sailing excellence from the novice to the more experienced sailor. The RYA Start yachting course is an introduction to gaining sailing skills and manoeuvres which will give you a basic understanding of yacht handling under sail and relevant background knowledge to later move up the ladder to more advanced sailing skills which in due course can lead to either sailing your own yacht or maybe taking it up as a career.
