Assistant Maintenance Manager
At Hard Rock Hotel Malta, the maintenance team keeps everything running behind the scenes. From technical repairs to preventive maintenance, the department ensures the hotel operates safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards at all times.
We are currently recruiting an Assistant Maintenance Manager to support the Director of Engineering in overseeing the daily technical operations of the hotel and ensuring that all facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained in excellent condition.
This role involves coordinating maintenance activities, supervising technicians, and ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance tasks are completed efficiently across all areas of the property.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a maintenance supervisory role, preferably within hospitality or a similar environment
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and general facilities maintenance
- Ability to supervise and coordinate a team of maintenance technicians
- Strong understanding of safety standards, preventive maintenance, and compliance requirements
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to respond quickly to operational issues
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays when required
