

Assistant Manager
Elba Restaurant (Falbra Ltd) is looking for a passionate and experienced Assistant Manager to lead our restaurant, inspire our team, maintain top-quality food standards, and create exceptional dining experiences for every guest.
1. Collaborate with the Operations Manager to plan and coordinate daily outlets operations.
2. Schedule shifts and assign wait staff their sections whilst also holding briefings with the kitchen staff.
3. Controlling cost of labor to run shifts in the most efficient way possible whilst maximizing on upselling.
4. Run efficient and seamless service between FOH and BOH.
5. Resolve customers' questions and complaints in a professional manner.
6. Implement measures to minimize costs and improve profitability through upselling, daily specials, and recommendations.
7. Ensure that the outlets adhere to pertinent health and safety regulations.
8. Conduct regular safety training for staff.
9. Make requests for purchases of equipment as stock is damaged or depleted.
10. Oversee daily inventory control, monitor stock levels and wastage, send requests for orders and managing staff to perform monthly stock takes.
11. Record all income and expenses and ensure that cash registers and petty cash are balanced.
12. Monitor revenue and expenses and implement strategies to meet and exceed targets.
13. Identify and resolve operational and employee-related issues.
14. Assist in replying to customer requests for bookings and functions, as well as coordinating and running service when such events take place.
15. Assist with planning of marketing and promotional activities to attract more customers.
16. Ensure that superior food and beverage service is provided to customers.
17. Knowledge of food and beverage offerings and suggest pairings to customers.
18. Manage staff where required and necessary according to busy shifts and events.
19. Organise monthly staff meetings to review and assess operation.
20. Liaise with Head Chef to ensure that the standards of food presentation and service are up to our standards.
21. Assist with changes in the menu and organize the work for the day in coordination with the Head Chef.
22. Ensure staff comply with grooming and uniform standards.
23. Assist with performance reviews, recommend disciplinary actions and promotions.
24. Assist the Operations Manager in developing and implementing training programs for employees.
25. Liaise between staff and management.
26. Work and assist in all areas and sections of the restaurant according to work exigencies, to help other staff members where necessary, in order to sustain efficiency during shifts, give the optimum customer service, and ensure smooth operation.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role for at least 2 years
- Diploma or degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to reach targets and KPIs set by Management
- Attention to detail
- Ability to handle guest feedback and complaints with professionalism
- Knowledge of restaurant operations, including scheduling, inverntor and cost control
- Proficiency in POS systems, Restaurant management systems and Microsoft Office (Word & Excel)
- Strong organizational and ability to multitaski in a fast paced environment
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Understanding of food safety and sanitation standards
- Flexibility to work weekends, evenings and public holidays.
