Assistant Restaurant Manager
The Marvin Gauci Group operates a number of renowned restaurants in Malta, including Caviar & Bull Restaurant, Sole Seabar by Tarragon Restaurant, and Don Royale Restaurant.
We are currently looking for a motivated and confident Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will support the Restaurant Manager in the daily operations of the restaurant and, in the absence of the Restaurant Manager, will be responsible for overseeing the Front of House team and ensuring smooth operations.
Main tasks and responsibilities
- Supporting and reporting directly to the Restaurant Manager
- Managing, coordinating, and supervising the Front of House team in the absence of the Restaurant Manager
- Assisting in staff recruitment, selection, and training
- Ensuring the highest service standards are maintained at all times to achieve optimum guest satisfaction
- Taking an active role in restaurant operations, including inventory control
- Demonstrating strong operational awareness and basic financial understanding
Educational and skill requirements
- Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within the hospitality industry
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for delivering exceptional guest service
- Located in Malta
- Good command of the English language.
