The Role
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. As the Assistant Restaurant Manager you will support the Restaurant Manager in the day to day operation of the restaurant. In this role you will be coordinating and optimising the following operations: the restaurant, the bar, the kitchen, large group bookings and events.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership qualities, be passionate about food and drinks, the hospitality industry and be able to motivate a large team. We are looking for a professional who is capable of making decisions, has attention to detail and is confident in all situations.
Your role is to make sure that our customers have an amazing experience every time they come. Possessing natural hospitality charm, we will give you a platform to connect, grow, have fun and make an impact.
- Support the Restaurant Manager and help oversee the Food & Beverage operations and helping lead the service team to ensure company standards are met
- Active support of employees in the service flow
- Support the restaurant manager preparing the rota
- Maintain the food & service standards, and the product knowledge to the highest standard
- Ensure maximal revenue and profit are achieved from all sales opportunities
- Review feedback to ensure we are offering the best experience
- Support and assist in the employee life cycle: attraction, recruitment, onboarding, learning and motivation, performance management, retention and separation
Required Skills/Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience in a senior position at a restaurant with a proven track record of leading a professional, efficient, high quality, service-oriented operation in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Must have excellent interpersonal/relationship building skills
- Must have supervisory, coaching and staff development experience
- Energetic, flexible, collaborative, a proactive; a team leader who can positively and productively impact
- Fluent in English
