We are looking for a dedicated and technically skilled Automation and Electrical Technician with knowledge of industrial electrical systems, automated production lines, and manufacturing equipment. Capable of performing preventive and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting electrical and automation faults, and supporting production operations. Committed to minimizing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Main Objective

To ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of manufacturing equipment and automated production lines by carrying out effective maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and continuous improvement activities.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, machinery, and control panels.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on industrial electrical and automation equipment.
Diagnose electrical faults using testing instruments such as multimeters and insulation testers.
Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, sensors, actuators, and automated control systems.
Assist with PLC programming, system modifications, and automation upgrades.
Maintain motors, motor starters, variable frequency drives (VFDs), and control circuits.
Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings.
Assist with the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery.
Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
Record maintenance activities, faults, repairs, and spare-parts requirements.
Follow electrical safety procedures, including lockout/tagout and safe isolation practices.
Work closely with engineers, maintenance teams, and production personnel to improve equipment performance.

Educational and skill requirements

Qualifications

Diploma or certificate in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
Experience in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment is an advantage.
Knowledge of PLCs, industrial control systems, motors, VFDs, and electrical panels.
Ability to interpret electrical and automation drawings.
Understanding of preventive maintenance and industrial troubleshooting.
