We’re looking for a Back of House Manager to join the iconic Hard Rock Hotel Malta and take full ownership of our kitchen and bar operations.

🎯 Your Mission

As our Back of House Manager, you’ll oversee the entire back-of-house operations, ensuring inventory accuracy, smooth deliveries, and cost control while leading and developing your team. You’ll be pivotal in shaping efficient processes and supporting an unforgettable guest experience.

📦 What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the back-of-house team, including kitchen support staff and inventory personnel
  • Receive and verify deliveries of food, beverages, and supplies, ensuring they match purchase orders in quantity and quality
  • Maintain and update inventory records, conduct regular stock checks, and minimise waste and losses
  • Coordinate closely with the Bar Manager, Sommelier and Executive Chef to optimise orders and supplier relations
  • Implement cost control strategies and actively manage weekly and monthly food & beverage budgets
  • Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene and storage standards
  • Oversee reporting on inventory status, stock rotation and operational KPIs
  • Train, motivate, and mentor the back-of-house team to maintain high standards of efficiency and professionalism
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational excellence

💡 What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in back-of-house management or hospitality operations, preferably in high-volume restaurants or luxury hotels
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with inventory systems, cost control and reporting tools
  • Proactive, solution-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities
  • Fluent in English (other languages are a plus)
  • Passion for creating operational excellence and supporting an unforgettable guest experience
