Bartender

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Bartender to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mixology, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. The Bartender will be responsible for preparing and serving beverages to our guests, maintaining a clean and organized bar, and ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Prepare and serve beverages:

  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to standard recipes.
  • Develop and suggest new cocktail recipes.
  • Ensure proper garnishing of drinks.

Customer service:

  • Greet guests in a friendly and timely manner.
  • Take beverage orders from guests and servers.
  • Provide recommendations and answer questions regarding drinks.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction by promptly addressing any issues or complaints.

Bar maintenance:

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area. Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies.
  • Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
  • Follow health and safety regulations.

Financial transactions:

  •  Accurately handle cash and credit card transactions.
  • Balance cash receipts and manage the cash register.

Team collaboration:

  •  Work closely with the kitchen and service staff to ensure a smooth operation.
  • Assist in training new bar staff as needed.
  • Work closely with the other departments to ensure a streamlined experience

Event support:

  •  Assist with private events and functions held at the restaurant.
  • Prepare special drinks for events as required.
Educational and skill requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a bartender in a high-end restaurant or bar.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of mixing, garnishing, and serving drinks. Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions.

Personal attributes:

  • Friendly and approachable demeanour.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Certifications:

  • A valid bartending license or certification is preferred or equal experience
  • Knowledge of local alcohol laws and regulations
