Bus Driver

Our client, a respected organization in Malta, is looking for a dedicated and responsible Bus Driver to join their growing team. The ideal candidate must hold a valid Category D driving licence (or an equivalent, valid licence from their country of origin) and be committed to providing safe, efficient, and professional transport services.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Ensure the safety of passengers as well as other road users.
Assist and support passengers when boarding or alighting from the bus, always following safety regulations.
Collect the fares for tickets.
Complete the assigned route according to the schedule and within the expected timeframe.
Report to the Control Room any issues or incidents that occur during the service.
Carry out routine daily checks on the vehicle and onboard equipment, recording any irregularities on the Defect Sheet.
Notify the Control Room of any information related to passenger safety or complaints.
At the end of the shift, hand over the collected fares together with invalid tickets and the Defect Sheet.
Comply with company policies and regulations concerning Health and Safety, Risk Prevention, Data Protection, Quality, and Environmental standards within the scope of duty.
Cooperate and coordinate with the Service Supervisor, or any other appointed staff, in additional tasks when required.
Park the vehicle in the designated depot area.

Educational and skill requirements

Minimum requirement of a basic educational background.
Intermediate English proficiency (minimum B1 level).
Hold a valid driving license (Category D - Corresponding to their country of origin) together with CPC certification (TAG in Malta).
Possess a solid understanding of company regulations, including transport rights, applicable fare rules, passenger conduct guidelines, and internal safety and operational procedures.
Maintain a customer-oriented approach, ensuring courteous and professional interactions at all times.
Communicate effectively, with the ability to create a positive impact and influence.
