C licence Driver / Warehouse Assistant

• Delivery of goods to customers;
• Loading trucks, checking material and making sure they are well strapped and safe;
• Unloading of goods from vans;
• Ensure orders are processed efficiently and that the delivery of materials meets customers’ expectations and business timelines;   
• Pick items according to the Order form;   
• Inspect items to ensure they’re not damaged or faulty and adjust inventory accordingly;   
• Pack item according to specified packing guidelines;   
• Assist with receiving, unloading, counting and stocking physical inventory in the warehouse;   
• Open boxes, crates and other containers;   
• Perform stock takes on all products in the warehouse;   
• Ensure that internal delivery processes are adhered to;   
• Identify errors and eliminate root cause using robust countermeasures;   
• Sustain the corrective actions to eliminate repeat issues;   
• Assist with warehouse sales;   
• Any other duties the company might find necessary.   

The selected candidate would preferably have the following skills and abilities:

• Knowledge of gypsum, paint and flooring products;
• Use of paint machine;
• Preferably working experience in the sector;
• Sufficient experience and skill in operating a forklift truck and be of a confident nature;
• Candidate must have received formal operator refresher training within the last 8 months;
• Valid C driving licence;
• Able to work on own initiative and as part of a team;
• Good communication skills.
