Car Rental Agent & Customer Experience Executive
GO Hire Ltd, operators of autoUnion Car Rental and representatives of First Car Rental in Malta, is looking for an organised, dependable and detail-oriented Car Rental Agent with focus on customer experience.
In this customer-facing role, you will welcome travellers, manage their rental experience and recommend upgrades and additional services that genuinely improve their journey. You will combine excellent customer care with sales, administration and vehicle handovers, primarily at our airport location while also supporting hotel-based rentals whenever required.
In Malta, our goal is to provide transparent, hassle-free vehicle rental and leasing services supported by a modern fleet and exceptional customer care.
Sales and Customer Experience
- Welcome and assist both pre-booked and walk-in customers.
- Understand each customer’s requirements and recommend suitable vehicle upgrades, protection products and additional services.
- Work towards individual and team sales targets.
- Clearly explain rental conditions, policies and available options.
- Provide a friendly, professional and efficient experience from arrival to vehicle collection.
- Attend to vehicle deliveries, collections and rental handovers at hotels and other designated locations whenever operationally required.
- Prepare and complete rental agreements accurately.
Vehicle Handovers and Returns
- Conduct professional vehicle inspections at collection and return.
- Explain the vehicle’s main features and answer customer questions.
- Record vehicle condition, fuel levels and any reported damage accurately.
- Explain the damage-reporting process clearly and professionally.
- Coordinate with the operations team to ensure smooth and timely handovers.
- Travel to hotels or other rental locations to complete vehicle handovers and returns when required.
What You Will Need
- Fluency in spoken and written English.
- At least one year of experience in a sales-focused or customer-facing role.
- A valid Category B driving licence covering both manual and automatic vehicles.
- Confidence using email, booking systems and basic customer-management software.
- Availability to work on a rotating shift basis, including evenings, weekends and public holidays.
- Flexibility to attend hotel-based rentals and other designated locations whenever required.
- Familiarity with local traffic and parking regulations.
- A clean police conduct.
Knowledge of additional languages and previous experience in car rental, hospitality, tourism, retail sales or customer service will be considered an asset.
