We are currently looking for a Chef De Partie to Join our team with Lifestyle Group.
The Job
- Have an active role in the daily operations of a specific section of the kitchen & ensuring timely and high-quality food preparation.
- Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications, maintaining consistency and high standards of presentation.
- Manage inventory levels for your section, including ordering and restocking supplies as needed, and ensuring proper storage and handling of ingredients.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of your section, including equipment, utensils, and work surfaces, following all health and safety regulations.
- Work closely with other kitchen sections and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth and efficient service, including timely delivery of dishes and communication of special requests.
- Monitor food costs and portion control within your section, minimizing waste and contributing to budgetary targets.
- Strict adherence to the Food Hygiene standards laid out in training.
- Committing the upmost attention & important to Site Allergen Procedure
- Conduct regular quality checks of food preparation and presentation, ensuring that all dishes meet the required standards before they are sent out.
- Oversee your section, including coordinating tasks and managing workflow during peak service periods.
- Mentor the Commis Chefs to ensure quality, consistency & that they are following correct spec.
- Commit to completion of Online training within 2 weeks of Start date.
Job Requirements
- Experience working in a kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of kitchen preparation and various dishes and cooking methods.
- Sound knowledge of authentic ingredients and substitute ingredients.
- Holder of a food handler license.
- Verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Eye for detail and a passion for food and innovation.
- Willing to work on a shift basis in a busy kitchen environment.
