Chef De Partie

We are seeking a Full-time Chef De Partie to join our team at a fast-paced, high-volume Chinese franchise.

The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of Chinese cuisine, be proficient in using various kitchen equipment, and follow franchise SOPs and recipes.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Prepare, cook, and present dishes in accordance with the restaurant’s menu and franchise standards, ensuring consistency and high-quality dishes.
Maintain proper portion control, food cost management, and adhere to all food safety regulations.
Ensure that mise en place (preparation and setup) is completed efficiently in the allocated section of the kitchen.
Work closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to ensure smooth operation during service and assist with organizing daily kitchen tasks.
Follow franchise-specific recipes and cooking methods to ensure standardization across all locations.
Assist in training junior kitchen staff and kitchen assistants, ensuring they follow proper procedures.
Regularly check and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring all tools are in good working condition.
Ensure all safety, cleanliness, and hygiene procedures are adhered to, including maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Assist with inventory control, ensuring that stock levels are kept in line with the restaurant’s needs and orders are placed accordingly.

Educational and skill requirements

Atleast 2 years of experience as a Chef De Partie or in a similar role in a Chinese or Asian kitchen environment is required.
Previous experience in a franchise setting or working with traditional Chinese cooking methods will be considered an advantage.
Fluency in English is necessary; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
