Customer Care Agent (Sliema)

Job Summary:

As a Customer Care Agent, you will provide exceptional customer service, handle patient payments and invoicing, maintain accurate records, and assist with various departmental tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Create a real sense of welcome and best wishes on departure with all patients, families, visitors, and consultants by greeting customers in a friendly and professional manner at all times.
  • Be familiar with prices and policies and be responsible for patient invoicing, payments, and disbursement.
  • Receive payments for miscellaneous services and hospital billings.
  • Monitor the 'Today Patient List' daily and refer for collection any unpaid bills.
  • Reconcile agent cash float on completion of each shift and deposit accordingly.
  • Accurately register all patients arriving for appointments, ensuring details are correct and updated.
  • Answer and screen incoming telephone calls, actioning or redirecting appropriately.
  • Keeping and Replying to the mobile phone provided by the Companyon him/herself at all times
  • Maintain and record patient notifications and messages in an organised manner for future handover.
  • Thank clients and visitors for using services and request feedback on their experience.
  • Establish and maintain good communication with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Admit and discharge patients through the hospital information system accurately.
  • Liaise with local and foreign insurance companies regarding admission clarifications and direct settlements, and also with the appropriate members of staff in case of emergencies
  • Carry out Reception and Liaison Office duties as required.
  • Follow and adhere to Data Protection and Hospital policies at all times.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management.

  • Multi-tasking and flexibility.
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills (both interdepartmental and intra-departmental).
  • Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively.
  • Excellent organisation skills and sharp attention to detail.
  • Professional attitude at all times and ability to work under pressure.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite and hospital information systems.
  • Display a confident, warm, and caring approach to patient interaction.
  • Ensure strong communication, and patient name use are constantly maintained.
  • Exercise a flexible approach to time management and prioritisation of patient requirements.
