Electricians and Assistant Electricians

Electricians are responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems. They read technical diagrams, ensure systems comply with safety regulations, and troubleshoot electrical issues. Responsibilities include wiring, inspecting equipment, and performing routine maintenance. Strong problem solving skills, attention to detail, and knowledge of electrical codes are essential. Electricians’ Assistants will support the electricians with cable pulling, preparation works, basic assistance on site, and general support duties under supervision.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Install electrical systems, wiring, and fixtures in industrial settings
Maintain and repair existing electrical systems and equipment
Read and interpret technical diagrams, blueprints, and plans
Troubleshoot electrical faults and identify issues quickly
Inspect electrical components to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
Test systems and equipment to ensure proper functioning
Replace or upgrade faulty or outdated electrical parts
Perform routine maintenance to prevent breakdowns
Ensure all work meets safety standards and electrical codes
Use and maintain tools and equipment safely

Educational and skill requirements

Valid Wireman Licence A or B issued by the Regulator for Energy and Water Services (Malta)
Health & safety training
Experience in electrical installations
