Roles & Responsibilities:

• Appropriately acknowledging and pleasantly greeting patients upon arrival and upon discharge.
• Handling phone calls and emails in a professional manner.
• Registering new patients’ details in the hospital information system accurately and verifying that existing patients have their accurate details registered on the system.
• Maintaining, tallying and being responsible for daily takings registered in the HIS on their access credentials.
• Channelling complaints and queries to the appropriate person to be dealt with within the shortest time possible.
• Assisting patients and their relatives, referring to others for support where required.
• Adhering to the Hospital/Clinic policies as well as any other relevant policies, at all times.
• Following and adhering to the Data Protection Policy, at all times.
• Carrying out other departmental duties as required and when requested by his/her immediate supervisor, including any other duties that may be required by the Company from time to time.
  
  

Required Knowledge, Abilities & Skills:

• Experience working as an Emergency Medical Technician or Healthcare Assistant.
• Be receptive to a changing environment.
• Flexibility.
• Excellent customer service and telephone skills.
• Ability to prioritise.
• Attention to detail.
• Organisational skills.
