Environmental, Health, Safety & Compliance (EHSC) Officer

MFF Ltd. is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented EHSC Officer to support environmental, health & safety, and quality compliance across our aquaculture operations. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on self-initiative, enjoys structure and record-keeping, and wants to make a real impact on sustainability and operational excellence.

The Role

You'll coordinate environmental permits, monitoring programmes, inspections, and documentation, while supporting our Integrated Management System (IMS). Working closely with senior management, you'll help ensure regulatory compliance, audit readiness, and continuous improvement across environmental performance, worker safety, and product quality.

What You'll Do

• Manage environmental permits, licences, and regulatory compliance obligations.
• Coordinate water quality, waste, and resource monitoring programmes.
• Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections, and incident investigations.
• Support food safety, traceability, and HACCP-related documentation.
• Prepare for and support internal and external audits.
• Help deliver training on H&S, environmental awareness, and emergency response.
• Maintain accurate records across all compliance areas.

What We're Looking For

• A qualification in environmental science, occupational H&S, aquaculture, or a related field.
• Experience in compliance, EHS, or aquaculture operations is a plus.
• Understanding of environmental regulations, permitting, and risk assessment.
• Familiarity with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or ISO 9001 is an advantage.
• Strong organisational, analytical, and record-keeping skills.
• Advanced MS Word & Excel skills.
• A proactive, independent, hands-on approach.
• Fluent English (Maltese preferred); driving licence required.
