As we continue to grow, we are looking an Events AV Team Leader to join our technical team.

Professional Experience

• 5 years of AV experience in live events, corporate conferences, or similar high-demand environments.
• Experience in a supervisory or managerial AV role, leading teams across live, hybrid, or broadcast productions.
• Proven track record in event AV system set-ups, troubleshooting, and operational support.

Technical Expertise

Technical knowledge across live event production, with familiarity in the following areas:

• Video & Display: projectors, LED walls, large-format displays, video conferencing and control systems.
• Audio Systems: mixers, XLR, PA systems, microphones, switchers, ensuring high-quality sound delivery.
• Lighting Systems: stage/event lighting, DMX control protocols.
• Systems Reliability: diagnosing/resolving issues, preventive maintenance, understanding electrical/IT infrastructure.

Leadership & Soft Skills

• Experienced in leading AV technicians and freelancers during live events.
• Skilled in managing inventory, scheduling, setups, and rehearsals.
• Strong cooperation and coordination cross-team.
• Ability to scope event requirements and provide technical solutions.
• Calm under pressure, decisive in live environments, detail-oriented, and quality-focused.
• Capable of training and mentoring junior staff.

Additional Requirements and Working Conditions

• Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Physically able to lift and set up AV equipment and valid driver’s license and ability to travel between sites.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards in AV considered an asset.
• Able to work in the EU and Malta.
• Remuneration between Eur 30,000 – Eur 35,000 Gross based on experience. Overtime required is paid additionally.
