Finance Controller

Our client is a pharmaceutical comapny that boasts a state-of-the art facility in Malta, infrastructure and high-end equipment. They are dedicated to producing world-class pharmaceutical products, driving innovation, quality, and excellence in every process.

The company is seeking an experienced and dynamic Finance Controller to lead its finance department. This is a key leadership position requiring strong team management, financial expertise, and a proactive mindset to support strategic decision-making.

The Finance Controller reports to Managing Director.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the finance team (5 team members), providing leadership, guidance, and professional development.
  • Manage the company's financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance.
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions and strategic planning.
  • Ensure full compliance with local tax regulations and international financial reporting standards.
  • Optimize the use of the SAP ERP system for finance-related activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the Managing Director and other senior stakeholders.
  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls and procedures.
  • Support audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies.


Requirements:

  • Fully ACCA qualified.
  • Proven experience managing finance teams (ideally 3+ people).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in the manufacturing industry will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience working with SAP ERP system will be considered an asset.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and a hands-on approach.


Offer:

  • Competitive base salary: €60,000–€65,000 gross per annum.
