Finance Officer

A vacancy has arisen for the post of Finance Officer within Simonds Farsons Cisk plc. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the selected candidate will be responsible for the processing of accounting records, preparation of financial reports, carrying out required reconciliation and continuously observe internal control procedures. The selected candidate will be required to abide by strict time lines as established by management.

The selected candidate will be required to:

• Assist in recording daily financial transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers.
• Support in preparing monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare reconciliations as directed.
• Process invoices, receipts, and payments in a timely and accurate manner.
• Manage assigned accounts payable portfolio.
• Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Maintain proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Liaise with internal departments and external vendors as needed.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the senior team.

The selected candidate will:

• Be proficient in accounting techniques and hold an A-level in Accounting or substantial accounting experience
• Be self-motivated; show initiative and capable to work independently under pressure, handling multiple tasks simultaneously, under minimal supervision;
• Possess good communication skills;
• Be ICT literate;
• Be able to work within a team,
• Be systematic and familiar with problem-solving methodologies.
