Diacono Ltd, operators of Medea Restaurant at Salini Resort, is a leader in Malta’s hospitality
industry. Medea is a 250-cover buffet restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily.
Renowned for its exceptional dining standards, Medea prides itself on delivering seamless
service and memorable guest experiences.

We are seeking energetic and reliable Food Runners to assist in delivering food from the kitchen to guests efficiently and professionally. This is a vital role in ensuring the smooth flow of service during busy operations.

The Food Runner is responsible for delivering dishes promptly and correctly to guests, ensuring the kitchen and front-of-house teams are well-coordinated. You will play a key role in maintaining efficiency, cleanliness, and organization throughout service.

Key Responsibilities

Food Delivery:

• Transport food orders from the kitchen to the correct tables or buffet stations
  quickly and accurately.
• Ensure food presentation and plating meet the restaurant’s standards before
  delivering to guests.
• Serve food with professionalism, ensuring a positive guest interaction.

Support for Front-of-House Team:

• Assist servers and chefs in replenishing buffet stations or serving areas as
  needed.
• Clear empty plates and reset tables to maintain a tidy dining area.
• Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery
  of dishes.

Cleanliness and Organization:

• Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen pass and dining areas during service.
• Assist in restocking utensils, plates, and other service items as required.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring food is handled properly.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and carry trays or plates of
  food efficiently.
• Teamwork: Willingness to assist and work collaboratively with the front-ofhouse and kitchen teams.
• Communication: Clear verbal communication skills (English) to coordinate
  effectively.
• Attention to Detail: Ensure all orders are accurate and meet service standards.
• Flexibility: Ability to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
