The Arkadia Foodstore vision for grocery shopping is quality, choice and value. We understand that our customers want only the best, but that they also want variety and fair prices. Arkadia Foodstore wants your grocery shopping trip to be a pleasant experience not a chore. Our design team ensured a layout for a more natural flow of people, with plenty of room in an airy, relaxed environment. We insisted on wide aisle with clearly defined signs, and excellent lighting to help you easily locate your favourite grocery product. Our shelves are higher than standard to make it easier to pick your items and to ensure that we can keep enough stocks on display. We also offer a number of services such as delivery and free two-hour parking at our Portomaso store for customers who spend over €15.

To assist the Store Manager in maintaining a positive work environment for all employees and a positive shopping environment for the customers which provides the customer with the highest level of quality products and store presentation

Main tasks and responsibilities

Monitor the hour-to-hour store appearance and conditions to ensure high standards of cleanliness, efficiency, and productivity.
Ensure proper store inventory management and control for all departments within the store utilizing category management techniques and FIFO principles.
To implement where required, and maintain existing effective administration procedures to enable high performance from Arkadia Foodstore
Maintain adequate on hand stock for all shelf and promotional items
Monitor employee effectiveness and productivity and ensures efficient labour utilization.
Ensure that incoming and existing products are continuously checked for expiry date and procedures are in place to clear or return products before their expiry dates.
Maintain highest levels of cleanliness and organisation through the implementation of daily check sheets and control measures
Manage HACCP and food hygiene standards to meet legislative requirements
Comply with all Arkadia company policies and local H&S regulations.
Monitor stock loss through security and control methods in order to establish business targets and improvement targets.
Observes and assesses employee morale to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
Evaluates store merchandising for product availability, proper rotation, quality, freshness of perishables and correct pricing. Look out for empties or holes in aisle stocking and maintenance of displays.
Manages loss prevention functions for the store in order to minimize losses and to ensure safe shopping and working conditions
Documents all accident reports accurately and timely.
