Front Desk Supervisor – Bowling and Entertainment Centre

We are looking for a Front Desk Supervisor to work at The Eden in order to oversee the daily operations of the Bowling and Entertainment Centre’s front desk, focusing on both leisure and sports bookings. This role involves supervising the team, managing client interactions and supporting the smooth execution of all events and activities within the centre.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Leadership and Staff Supervision:

  • Supervise, guide, and motivate the Front Desk team to maintain exceptional service standards.
  • Monitor staff performance and task delegation to ensure efficient operations.

Customer Service and Communication:

  • Manage incoming phone calls, emails and walk-ins, addressing inquiries, bookings, complaints and special requests.
  • Serve as the point of contact for escalated client queries.

Leisure Bookings:

  • Oversee the leisure bookings process, from reservations to payments, upselling promotions and communicating event-specific requirements to the operational team.

Sports Bookings – Coordination:

  • Act as the primary liaison for day-to-day communications with the Sport Association, coaches, trainers, and tournament organizers. Handle booking changes, lane reservations, and special requirements, ensuring all requests are processed efficiently.
  • Ensure continuous communication with the Sport Association and provide timely updates to internal teams on any changes.

Operational Administration:

  • Prepare rosters for the Front Desk team.
  • Keep up to date with current promotions, pricing and operational updates, ensuring the accuracy of the Bowling Centre’s website and social media.
  • Report any technical, software or operational issues to management promptly.

Support for Leagues and Tournaments:

  • Assist in organizing and supporting leagues and tournaments. Take the initiative to learn and manage specific aspects of these activities.
  • Ensure lanes, scoring systems and customer service standards are set up and ready for competitive events.

Educational and skill requirements
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Commitment to customer service excellence.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively under pressure.
  • Knowledge of bowling operations (experience with sports tournaments relations is a plus).
  • Proficiency with booking systems and administrative tasks.
