General Maintenance Operative

K&E Company Limited is looking for a General Maintenance to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• To perform preventive maintenance work and carry out regular inspections and examine for defects in building services, plant, equipment, installations and appliances and keep relative records.
• To attend to faults and breakdowns.
• To carry out fault identifications and localization and subsequent repair works on extraction and refrigeration systems, ACs and grease traps.
• To supervise contractors personnel carrying out servicing or installation works, and ensure that work is carried out to standards acceptable by the company.
• To perform technical support and assist with the design, development, installation, operation and maintenance of new building services, equipment and installations
• To ensure that all operational, safety and security standards and regulations established by the company are adhered to at all times and
• To liaise via phone or email with companies to source specialized parts.

Skills and Requirements:

• Have a minimum of two years experience working in a similar environment.
• Candidates with experience as a General Maintenance Manager or in a similar position in the Catering or hospitality industry will be given preference; Be proficient in Microsoft Office;
• Hold a Wireman’s License A and a Food handling Certificate;
• Hold a driver’s licence B;
• Be able to trouble shoot issues with kitchen area appliances, refrigeration, air-conditioning system and electrical equipment.
• Work on own initiative and a team player;
• Have excellent supervisory and communication skills (both written and verbal in English and Maltese);
• Be analytical and highly organized to keep maintenance and cleaning schedules;
  Possess leadership, assertiveness, ability to handle pressure, must be disciplined and highly analytical and must not have fear of heights;
• Be flexible and willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
