

General Manager
Farsons Beverage Imports Company Limited (FBIC) has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced leader who will lead and oversee all operational, commercial and strategic functions of FBIC, ensuring continued growth in its core business of importing, distributing and retailing wines, spirits, beers, coffee, waters and other non-alcoholic beverages in Malta.
Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, the General Manager is responsible for setting and executing the business’s strategic direction, driving commercial performance, maintaining strong relationships with brand principals, optimizing operational efficiencies, and ensuring the highest standards of customer service, regulatory compliance and brand representation.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations across sales, brand management, finance, and logistics.
- Develop and execute business strategies to increase revenue, profit, market share and brand visibility
- Drive operational efficiency and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop departmental managers and staff.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, suppliers, and distributors.
- Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability
- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and innovation possibilities.
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and performance metrics.
- Collaborate with all other departments and beverage subsidiaries within the Farsons Group to ensure an integrated approach and seamless customer experience.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (MBA an advantage).
- Minimum 5 years of General Management experience in retail, preferably within the FMCG sector
- Proven track record of achieving sales and profitability targets.
- Strong leadership, team and organisational managements skills.
- Strong understanding and passion of the local FMCG landscape and industry.
- Excellent digital skills, data analysis and high proficiency in CRM systems and B2B systems.
