HR & Office Administrator

Melita Studio Design is a hospitality and retail group based in Malta. Our group includes some of Malta’s leading restaurants and hotels and an international ceramics business.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced HR & Office Administrator to join our team. As the HR & Office Administrator you will support the Operations Manager and Finance Director with HR, payroll and other administrative duties.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Handle the administrative process of new employee induction and support business managers with recruitment, onboarding, training, retention and separation
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR databases
  • Support employee work permit application and renewal process
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll including but not limited to issuing payslips, submitting FS5s, and other payroll-related tasks
  • Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures, responding to employee inquiries, and supporting day-to-day operations
  • Maintain attendance, holiday and sick leave records
  • Assist in the preparation of HR reportsAssists with employee relations including, birthdays, team parties, annual activities
  • Supports the Operations Manager and Finance Director with general administrative and clerical duties
Educational and skill requirements
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar position
  • Proficiency in using Shireburn will be an asset
  • Team player who communicates well with colleagues
  • Have strong time management, organisation and admin skills
  • Hospitality experience is preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of Maltese labour laws and employment regulations
