We are currently looking for an IT Support & Systems Specialist to join our IT Department at our Head Office.

The Job
Reporting directly to the Head of IT, the IT Support & Systems Specialist will assist in the overall IT operations and oversee the end-user technical support issues, ensuring prompt resolution in collaboration with the contracted managed services team. Additionally, the successful candidate will be expected to develop expertise and manage various business applications across multiple business units. Other duties may be assigned as needed to support the IT department's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Track vendor performance and ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Gain in-depth knowledge of a designated business applications
- Maintain and manage designated business applications
- Assist with the maintenance and administration of IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud environments.
- Assist end users on best practices for using company IT systems effectively.
- Maintain IT documentation, including systems configuration and inventories.
- Perform troubleshooting, support, and training for different business applications
- Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to optimize the application's performance.
- Contribute to IT-related projects, system deployments, and upgrades as required.
- Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the Head of IT to support departmental goals.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Office 365, networking, and MS business applications.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support, helpdesk, or system administration roles.
- Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and ticketing systems.
- Experience with systems design and database development.
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Preferred Certifications (a plus):
- Microsoft Certifications
- ITIL Foundation Certification
- Working knowledge on Oracle Simphony POS will be considered an asset
