Previously known as Valhmor Borg Import/Export Company limited, the original company was founded in 1975 by the late Valhmor Borg. He was one of the pioneers to trade in the cold storage business in Malta, storing frozen meats and other food products. The company was taken over by Food Trading Ltd in 2011, which is a member of the Azzopardi Group and has since come to be known, quite simply, as Valhmor.

Assistant Projects Manager

With over forty years of experience in the food industry, Valhmor specializes in the importation and distribution of quality branded food products. Due to ongoing business growth, we are seeking to recruit an Assistant Projects Manager on a full-time basis.

The selected candidate will directly report directly to the Projects Manager, duties include but not limited to:

Responsibilities

Assist the Project Manager to ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and budget;

Help the Project Manager in the resources needed to complete projects and manage to the required resources in an effective and efficient manner;

Utilize industry best practices, techniques and standards throughout the entire project execution;

Responsible to maintan all the comprehensive project documentation updated;

Track project performance and analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals in order to reach the agree budgets;

Support the Project Manager with the project planning & budget to monitor and track progress;

Ensures safety procedures are adhered to by following H&S Office advice immediately and having risk assessments prepared as necessary;

Strict adherence to company confidentiality and professionalism;

Perform other related duties as assigned including daily visits to current projects; ascertain

Education and requirements

Have at least 1 year experience in a similar role;

Knowledge of Auto CAD is considered to be as a strong asset;

Be also proficient in MS applications;

Be deadline-oriented and able to work under pressure with minimal supervision;

Be proficient in writing and speaking English;

Be accurate, organized, flexible and self-motivated;

Possess the ability to integrate and work well in a team environment.
