
Junior Assistant - Administrative Assistant - Communications
The Communication function acts as the central point of contact for the Authority, handling both internal and external communications. Its aim is to continue maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, as well as keeping them up to date, be they employees, licence holders or the public at large. The function is also the designated brand guardian of the MFSA, managing its reputation and image on the various digital and offline platforms, through B2B and consumer education campaigns and events.
The Role
The Junior Assistant Administrative Assistant will be involved in the following:
- Monitoring digital news and print media coverage, to circulate as necessary
- Providing support in the organisation of local or international, both digital and in-person, events or workshops;
- Preparing and compiling reports and statistics as required by the different team's initiatives;
- Providing support to the team in the day-to-day operations;
- Updating the website content in a timely manner, using appropriate tools;
- Other administrative tasks, such as the ordering of stationery, branding of documents, compiling of presentations and maintaining storage facility.
About You
The candidate should:
- Be able to organise, multi-task, meet strict deadlines and prioritise tasks in accordance with the requirements of the function;
- Possess good communication and presentation skills;
- Be able to work within a team as well as a multi-disciplinary office;
- Have a good command of English and Maltese, both spoken and written, and an eye for detail.
Candidates should ideally be reading for a first degree in English studies, marketing, communications or any relevant field of study.
