Maintenance & Technician Person

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance & Technician Person to join our team. If you are hands-on, enjoy solving technical problems, and take pride in keeping facilities operating at their best, we would love to hear from you.

As part of our Maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring that the hotel's facilities, equipment, and systems are maintained to the highest standards, providing a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our guests and colleagues.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Carry out routine preventative maintenance throughout the property.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Perform general repairs, including plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, and basic HVAC maintenance.
  • Inspect hotel facilities and equipment to identify faults and potential hazards.
  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with health and safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organised condition.
  • Assist with planned maintenance projects and refurbishment works.
  • Liaise with external contractors when required and supervise work carried out on-site.
  • Record completed maintenance tasks and report recurring issues to management.
  • Support the team with emergency repairs and operational requirements as needed.
Educational and skill requirements
  • Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or technician role.
  • Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and general building maintenance.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • A practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A flexible attitude, with the ability to work shifts, weekends, or on-call when required.
  • Basic computer literacy is considered an asset.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certifications will be considered an advantage.
