MG Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for the sales and promotions of the brand vehicles.

Main tasks and responsibilities
  • Promote and sell the brand to increase sales and brand knowledge with customers
  • Establish and maintain an excellent relationship with customers, answer all queries related to the vehicles and attend to the customers' requirements prior to and during the sale process
  • Explain vehicle model features to customers and conduct test drives to encourage customers to purchase the vehicle
  • Handle all documentation related to the sale of vehicles and collects cash or cheque deposits and payments from customers upon sale of vehicle
  • Make the necessary arrangements to check and prepare the vehicle upon delivery to the customer and gives a through explanation to the customer regarding the vehicle's interior and controls
  • Attend to customers' requirements and conduct regular follow ups on their queries
  • Follow up and handle any complaints related to the sales department and follow up with customers regarding their complains in line with the company standards
  • Open and close the showroom and ensure that both the showroom and the vehicles are maintained in optimum condition at all times
  • Report any cleaning or maintenance works required in the showroom to ensure that the showroom is maintained as per franchise standards
  • Ensure strict adherence to franchise standards and keep self-updated on all vehicle model features and latest vehicle technology
  • Attend training organised by the franchises both locally and abroad when and as required and ensure that any training or product knowledge given is passed on to the sales employees
  • Assist in the organisation and attend to new vehicle launches, motor fairs and any promotional events that may be organised outside working hours from time to time
  • Keep self-updated on the latest automotive market situation, competitor pricing and marketing strategies to devise a sales and marketing strategy aimed at increasing the customers brand knowledge and sale of vehicles
  • Assist the Brand Manager and General Manager in the preparation of budgets, business and marketing plans, sales reports, ordering of vehicles on stock and any ad hoc reports required from time to time
  • Attend meetings with franchise representatives and cooperate in the quality audits to ensure that franchise standards are strictly adhered to at all times.

Educational and skill requirements

This position calls for a mature, confident and reliable individual with an outgoing personality, a flair for sales and the ability to attract potential clients.

 Candidates applying for this position should ideally possess:

  • Sales Management Experience
  • Experience in sales within the automotive industry will be considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fluency in the verbal and written Maltese and English languages
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Diploma standard Education
