Painter

db Group, Malta’s leader in Hospitality & Leisure sector. The group is distinguished and well-established in the hospitality sector with its own branded db Seabank Resort and db San Antonio Hotel.

We are currently looking for a Painter to join our projects team and be part of our latest expansion and upcoming project in St. George's Bay, Malta. An exceptionally designed and built destination that includes a 5* Hard Rock Hotel, luxury homes, renowned restaurants and an upscale shopping mall that is set to add tremendous value to the local area.

Overview:

We are looking for a skilled Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings and other surfaces.

Responsibilities:

• Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
• Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, buffing, sanding, remove old paint, etc.
• Fill cracks, holes and repair defects with appropriate material (e.g. plaster, sealer).
• Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right colour or texture.
• Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
• Apply coatings and other finishes as needed.
• Install and repair gypsum partitions.
• Do touch up works as needed.
• Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
• Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
  
  

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter.
• Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply them.
• Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
• Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
• Good basic math skills.
• Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work at heights on scaffolding, ladders etc.
• Conscientious with great attention to detail.
• Knowledge of building regulations and codes to be adhered to.
