Pizzaiolo

Water’s Edge Hotel combines relaxed waterfront dining with high standards of hospitality. Our pizzeria serves handcrafted, wood-fired and oven-baked pizzas made from fresh ingredients — we’re looking for a skilled Pizzaiolo to join our culinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, stretch and shape dough; assemble and bake pizzas to consistent quality
  • Operate and maintain pizza oven (wood-fired, gas or electric) safely and efficiently
  • Monitor dough fermentation, dough portioning and toppings proportion to maintain consistency
  • Create and execute signature pizza recipes; assist with menu development and daily specials
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness and mise en place
  • Manage stock levels for pizza ingredients; minimize waste and report shortages
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house teams during service rushes

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years’ experience as a pizzaiolo or pizza chef (hotel, restaurant or pizzeria)
  • Strong dough handling and oven management skills; knowledge of various pizza styles (Neapolitan, Roman, thin-crust) a plus
  • Familiarity with food safety/hygiene standards and proper kitchen practices
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain quality under pressure
  • Good communication, punctuality and teamwork attitude
