We are Currently Looking for a Plant Technician to join our team at db Group.
Job Description
The Plant Technician will be responsible for maintaining, testing, fixing, and repairing mechanical and electrical systems across our sites. This includes making sure all equipment is serviced properly and preventive maintenance is done efficiently. You will keep records, manage the Building Management Systems (BMS), and handle any unexpected issues to keep things running smoothly. You will also help with the upkeep of building services, including plumbing and pool systems.
- Maintain, test, and repair mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and fix faults following manufacturers’ instructions.
- Perform regular servicing and preventive maintenance.
- Keep clear records and follow maintenance schedules.
- Operate and manage Building Management Systems (BMS) to ensure systems only run when needed.
- Carry out regular checks on building services, including daily pump checks and recording readings.
- Report any issues that might cause major breakdowns.
- Maintain plumbing systems and respond quickly to leaks.
- Keep plant rooms clean and organised at all times.
- Respond quickly to any maintenance calls.
- Maintain pool systems, including pumps, filters, and piping.
- Carry out any modifications or new installations when needed.
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a maintenance or technical environment.
- Strong proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.
- Possession of valid Electrical Licences A and B is essential.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical systems, including experience in troubleshooting and repairing equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, such as manuals and schematics.
- Proven ability to follow preventive maintenance schedules and perform related tasks efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail, with the capability to maintain accurate records and reports.
- Any additional certifications in related fields, such as HVAC systems, plumbing, or BMS, will be considered an asset.
