Role Purpose

Lead and manage the prepress functions, ensuring operational efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to support leadership decision-making and strategic planning.
• Uphold governance, quality, and operational standards across prepress activities.
• Ensure operational plans are met in terms of output, quality, and timelines.
• Manage inventory, consumables, and cost forecasting; develop cost models for products.
• Strengthen collaboration with central technical teams to improve knowledge transfer.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support team engagement.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant operational and quality requirements.
• Support planning activities by supplying required prepress materials to internal stakeholders.
• Identify training needs, succession planning, and development opportunities within the team.
• Implement flexible labour models to optimise workload and reduce overtime.
• Align resourcing with medium- and long-term production plans.
• Track job variances and ensure estimates and documentation are kept up to date.
• Identify and propose new technologies to improve capability.
• Maintain and update SOPs, FMEAs, and control plans, including retraining as needed.
• Benchmark processes and technology against internal sites and external best practices.
• Apply Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles in daily operations.
• Lead SSQCDP management on the shop floor.

Capabilities & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (or equivalent).
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Technical aptitude and quality-focused problem-solving ability.
• Experience in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
• People management experience.
• Experience in security print, planning, or production is an asset.
• Strong technical writing and presentation skills.
