Koperattiva Produtturi tal-Ħalib Group Ltd. (KPH), which is the Dairy Farmers’ Cooperative, was established in June 1958 in order to bring together all the dairy producers in Malta and Gozo to further promote their interests and increase their competitive advantage. Over the years KPH has been a leader in several agricultural activities, which include grain and feed importation, feed manufacturing, farm supplies, and support services, milk processing, and the production and distribution of the well-known Benna fresh milk products. Considerable investments throughout the years enabled the Cooperative to evolve. Members started expanding their activities penetrating and sustaining vital sectors within the local dairy and agricultural industry.

Procurement & Shipping Executive

The Procurement and Shipping Executive is responsible for managing the procurement process, coordinating shipping activities, and ensuring efficient and timely delivery of goods. Expertise in procurement strategies, vendor management, and logistics coordination will be crucial to the success of our operations.

Main tasks and responsibilities

Operational Tasks

Manage Re-ordering of Direct Materials and Goods.
Update Consumption Records to Reflect Usage Trends.
Regularly evaluate and adjust Safety Stock Levels and Re-order Thresholds.
Monitor Product Expiries and Ensure Timely Procurement.
Send Procurement Requests to Admin to Issue POs.
Follow Up on Direct Orders to Ensure Timely Delivery.
Coordinate with freight forwarders to arrange shipments.
Maintain spreadtsheets or procurement software to track orders, deliveries, and payments.
Source Alternative Suppliers and Obtain Competitive Quotes.
Maintain up-to-date records of supplier contacts, materials, and pricing.
Register and follow up on complaints with suppliers.
Collaborate with vendors to acquire necessary complaince documents.
Support the drafting, review, and renewal of supplier contracts.
Create weekly and monthly reports detailing procurement metrics, such as order volume, savings achieved, and delivery times.
Perform any other responsabilities assigned by the Procurement & Shipping Manager.

Educational and skill requirements

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS

Experience in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field would be considered an asset
Experience as a Buyer or in a similar procurement role within the manufacturing industry preferred.
Knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and techniques.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is important for data analysis, creating reports, managing inventory, and tracking purchasing metrics
Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
