We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team on a full-time basis. This role is essential in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of goods between our stores and customers while maintaining the high standards of service that daves Food Stores is known for.

Job Overview

The Delivery Driver is responsible for the safe, accurate, and timely transportation of goods using company vehicles. The role requires a strong commitment to road safety, excellent time management skills, and a customer-focused approach while supporting the day-to-day operations of the business.

Job Details

Pick up and deliver items to customers and shops using company’s vehicles safely and responsibly
Review orders before and after delivery to confirm accuracy and correct charges
Follow assigned routes and time schedules
Plan and follow efficient routes, adjust for traffic or weather when required to meet delivery deadlines
Load, unload roll cages & boxes to daves food stores using company vehicle
Handle goods carefully to prevent damage
Follow Transport Malta regulations, company policies and safety standards and procedures at all times
Maintain delivery records, update status using handheld devices and manage receipts or signatures
Perform basic vehicle checks, report issues and ensure vehicle is clean and operational
Customer service orientation and communication skills

What Makes You A Strong Candidate:

Proven work experience in a similar post will be a bonus
In possession of a valid Maltese driving licence (EU C1 category driving license will be considered an asset)
Possess a CPC Certificate
Excellent time management and organisational skills
Ability to lift and carry heavy items safely
Familiarity with GPS, delivery apps or navigational tools
High motivation to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be residing in Malta
Must speak fluent English

Work Environment

Delivery drivers work on shift-basis, at times long hours in diverse weather conditions and have physically demanding tasks such as lifting and carrying.
