
Production Technician
JOB OUTLINE:
To perform predictive, routine, preventive, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment to ensure smooth operation of the production facility. Be a key player within the production team and give his upmost to the management to reach departmental goals.
Responsibilities
To ensure timely and correct start-up of both Mineral Water Line and Soft Drinks Line.
To work as a team member and in close collaboration with the team leader
The technician is expected to work with the least supervision possible.
To plan and organize work with a methodical approach to keep the time of interventions as short as possible, whilst ensuring the maximum benefit of work in respect of yields and efficiency.
To work with the minimum supervision and show enough initiative and drive to complete works to the required standards. He must show diligence in his work by responding quickly to maintenance calls whilst liaising fully with the department concerned
To perform breakdown predictive, routine, and preventive maintenance on production lines and related equipment as requested by the Production Manager.
To sustain the department’s drive to meet and exceed the established level of service and goals. This shall be achieved by maintaining the machines/equipment under responsibility in an excellent working condition, thus limiting resulting downtime below the set limits
To ensure that all required information is logged/recorded and analyzed, and that relevant preventive action is taken to avoid/minimize downtime. To ensure that all forms are filled correctly and handed over within the days, week, or monthly time frame
To ensure the proper maintenance of workshop tools and individual tools and the state of cleanliness of his work area as well as the common workshop and its machines.
To conform to the plant’s quality culture, these include the observation of good documentation practices, good manufacturing practices and adhere to the Environment health and safety regulations.
To give total support to colleagues through teamwork, the free exchange of information about his work activities and his disposition to meet the departmental and production exigencies which may require the working of overtime or shift hours.
To foster a “my plant” mentality and promote ownership of equipment and processes
Education and requirements
Electrical License A and B (A minimum of License A).
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently.
Able to take own initiative to recommend improvements on equipment.
Able to work both alone as well as a team.
