Previously known as Valhmor Borg Import/Export Company limited, the original company was founded in 1975 by the late Valhmor Borg. He was one of the pioneers to trade in the cold storage business in Malta, storing frozen meats and other food products. The company was taken over by Food Trading Ltd in 2011, which is a member of the Azzopardi Group and has since come to be known, quite simply, as Valhmor.

Receptionist
With over forty years of experience in the food industry, Valhmor specializes in the importation and distribution of quality branded food products. Due to ongoing business growth, we are seeking to recruit a Receptionist on a full-time basis.
The selected candidate will directly report directly to the Office Manager, duties include but not limited to:
Responsibilities
Carrying out reception duties and ensuring that the reception desk is manned. Reception duties include answering the phone, message taking, replying to emails, welcoming and registering visitors and providing health and safety information;
General secretarial duties and administration work including issuing of purchase orders, following up with suppliers regarding deliveries, preparation of documentation, filing;
Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail;
Organisation of courier services;
Maintaining office stationery inventory, procurement of stationery, distribution to staff and record keeping;
Maintaining of staff wellbeing supplies (such as coffee), daily replenishing of supplies, and relevant procurement;
Liaising with suppliers of office equipment matters of maintenance and trouble shooting (eg suppliers of photocopying machines);
Perform other duties as may be required from time to time for the proper operation of the business within the limit of the person’s capabilities.
Education and requirements
Good organisational skills and time management skills;
Ability to prioritise the workload;
Effective problem-solving skills and a can-do attitude;
Ability to work in a team and individually under own initiative;
Attention to detail and focus oriented;
Takes ownership of assignments;
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
Written and verbal communication skills in Maltese is ideal;
Ideally a minimum of 2 years of reception duties.
