At Medea, a newly opened restaurant that is situated at Salini

  • Greeting & Seating: Warmly welcoming guests upon arrival, escorting them to tables, and providing menus where necessary.
  • Reservation Management: Managing bookings via phone, online platforms or in person and ensuring all records are kept up to date.
  • Customer Inquiries: Answering phones to handle questions about the menu, hours, or special accommodations (e.g., dietary restrictions or accessibility needs) or any other query the guest may have.
  • Complaint Handling: ensuring that any complaints are dealt with in a professional manner and escalated to management if necessary.

Support Duties were necessary:

  • Keeping the host stand, entryway, and menus clean and organized.
  • Team Support: Assisting waitstaff by clearing (bussing) tables, resetting them for new guests, or running food during peak rushes.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Interpersonal Skills: A professional, and customer service-oriented personality is essential for this role.
  • Communication: Effectively relaying information between guests, servers, and management.
  • Previous experience within a similar role or within the hospitality industry is considered as an asset.
  • A good command of English is necessary as well as knowledge or understanding of French would be considered as an asset.
