Overview
About the Department
Acting as the central point of contact for the Authority, the Communications function handles its internal and external communications with the aim of maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders and keeping them up to date, be they employees, licence holders or the public at large. The function is also the designated brand guardian of the MFSA, managing its reputation and image on the various digital and offline platforms, through B2B and consumer education campaigns and events.
About the Role
The Senior Support Digital Infrastructure Officer will be responsible for managing and enhancing the digital presence and infrastructure of the Authority. This role involves overseeing website functionalities, implementing updates, improving user experience, and ensuring optimal performance of digital platforms. The ideal candidate will also monitor emerging trends in digital technology, and SEO to maintain a secure, user-friendly, and modern online environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Website & Digital Platform Management:
- Oversee and manage change requests for the organization's website.
- Develop and maintain functional specifications for the website.
- Lead the development and management of new portals.
- Improve the user experience (UX) across all MFSA websites, ensuring accessibility, efficiency, and engagement.
- Monitor and implement the latest trends in SEO, optimizing website performance and search visibility.
- Support regular website updates, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards.
- Plan, execute, and optimize email marketing campaigns to enhance user engagement and drive traffic to the website, ensuring alignment with digital strategy and organizational goals.
Digital Transformation & Infrastructure:
- Support audio-visual (AV) technologies for digital meetings, presentations, and conferences.
Content & Data Management:
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure website content is aligned with organizational objectives.
- Support content updates and oversee content management systems (CMS).
- Track website analytics, reporting insights, and suggesting improvements for performance.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work closely with internal teams, third-party vendors, and digital service providers.
- Ensure all digital infrastructure aligns with compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical support and guidance to staff regarding digital tools and best practices.
About You
In order to be eligible for the role, you must possess an academic qualification in the relevant field of study at National Qualification Framework Level 5 or better duly certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC) in Digital Marketing, IT, Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field.
If you do not have the necessary academic or professional qualifications but you have at least three (3) years working experience, we would still be interested in speaking with you. Candidates with longer working experience relevant to the role will be preferred.
Technical Skills (To be considered as an asset)
- Proficiency in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Drupal, or custom CMS).
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and website back-end frameworks is a plus.
- Experience with SEO tools and Google Analytics for monitoring web performance.
- Strong understanding of AV systems and digital communication platforms.
- Experience with project management tools for tracking digital infrastructure updates.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on optimizing user experience.
