Stores Assistant

Support the Stores/Warehouse Manager in overseeing the stores and warehousing function, ensuring the efficient handling, control, and documentation of equipment and materials in compliance with all relevant legislative, safety, and quality standards. Collaborate with the Global Equipment Manager to assist in sourcing and purchasing requirements, while maintaining accurate records and logistical tracking for all transactions.

Required Experience & Competencies:

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally within a technical operations, engineering services, or complex project-based environment involving logistics and procurement.

• Strong sense of self-discipline and initiative.

• Effective time management capabilities.

• Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.

Key Responsibilities:Stores Operations:

• Support the Deputy Regional Operations Manager in managing daily stores and warehouse activities to ensure timely and effective service delivery.

• Receive and dispatch goods in line with purchase orders and packing lists/manifests.

• Validate incoming deliveries against purchase orders for compliance in quantity, description, and delivery timeline. Report discrepancies through the appropriate channels (e.g., non-conformance reports).

• Ensure strict adherence to safety, health, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) protocols.

• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and organization within warehouse areas.

• Provide assistance to the Global Director of Operations and Senior Local Management in the absence of the Deputy Regional Operations Manager.

Materials & Inventory Control:

• Assist in managing and controlling inventory levels to meet operational demands.

• Help maintain and update project manifests with accurate usage tracking and supporting documentation.

• Support the administration of the Stores Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015).

• Monitor and manage branding compliance for all stored equipment.

• Participate in periodic and annual inventory audits.

• Ensure completeness and accuracy of all documentation related to warehousing and logistics functions.

• Coordinate the control and repair process for items in quarantine in collaboration with the Technical Stores team.
