Support Worker (Part-Time)

About the Role

We are currently looking for a Support Worker to join our team on a part-time basis. The Support Worker shall work with individuals to promote their active participation so that they can take part in meaningful everyday activities, regardless of their level of ability. Therefore, giving those they support more control, improve their confidence and increases their independence.

What you'll be doing

  • Work with individuals during their daily participation in activities to ensure their active engagement to the best of their potential.
  • Support individuals during the provision of services in all possible aspects, including feeding needs, hygiene aspects, toileting and changing as well as supporting during transitions.
  • Support the set-up of enabling environments to carry out the activities/session plans
  • Support the preparation of resources when/as required
  • Support individuals in carrying out activities as recommended.
  • Work towards and implement best practice methods that meet NAS Accreditation and ISO certification standards where applicable under supervision
  • Support the service users in achieving their individual SMART goals.
  • Follow each individual’s Behaviour Support Plans, Risk Assessments, Sensory Profiles under the guidance of the practitioners/therapists.
  • Liaise with the team members to ensure that feedback is given according to the group/individual's performance and observations
  • The Support Worker may be required to research and find creative ways in which sessions can be delivered depending on each individual/group’s needs.
  • The Support Worker may be required to research and find creative ways in which each individual and group can be better supported to achieve their developmental milestones.
  • The Support Worker may be required to assist the practitioners/teachers/therapists with delivering sessions in small groups according to the curriculum/activities.
  • To ensure the upkeep of the programme’s resources and areas.
  • To maintain continuous professional development and consistently commit to developing knowledge in the area on own initiative and/or through training offered by Inspire.

What we’re looking for

We are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate professional to join our STEP Forward programme (children - age group 5 years) as a Support Worker.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A recognised ‘Qualification’ at MQF Level 3 or higher (minimum of 60 ECTS/ECVET) in the health and social care.
  • Previous experience within disability field (Autism Spectrum Disorder/challenging behaviour) would be considered as an asset.
  • High proficiency in English language (C1 Level) (both spoken and written).
  • Available to work in the afternoons (between 14:30 and 18:30).
