Position Overview

The Travel Manager oversees travel and logistics operations, ensuring cost-effective, compliant, and high-quality travel management. This full-time role requires a mix of technical travel expertise, financial accuracy, and leadership skills to supervise daily operations, guide staff, and continuously improve service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Operations

• Lead travel operations and ensure service-level targets are met.
• Supervise and mentor staff, promoting teamwork and accountability.
• Develop travel policies, cost-control measures, and supplier performance benchmarks.

Travel Management

• Manage reservations, ticketing, hotel bookings, chauffeur services, and logistics.
• Handle amendments, rebookings, and problem resolution.
• Oversee invoicing, refunds, and maintain knowledge of airline rules, visa requirements, and GDS platforms (e.g., Amadeus).

Financial & Reporting

• Oversee travel expenses, billing, and supplier payments.
• Prepare travel reports, analytics, and support budget management.

Client & Stakeholder Relations

• Maintain high customer satisfaction and resolve travel-related issues.
• Negotiate rates and agreements with airlines, hotels, and vendors.
• Communicate travel solutions clearly to internal and external stakeholders.

Compliance & Continuous Improvement

• Ensure adherence to travel policies and legal requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and enhance traveler experience.
• Participate in cross-departmental projects related to travel and logistics.
  
  

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience with the ability to manage and develop teams.
• Minimum 10 years in travel operations, with at least 5 years in a senior role.
• Hands-on expertise with GDS platforms (Amadeus preferred) and IATA BSP processes.
• Valid IATA certification required.
