Express Trailers’ roots go as far back as the 1930’s. The Vella brothers, who up to very recently led the company, recall their grandfather George who was a port worker, clearing cargo from customs and delivering that cargo to his clients using a horse-driven cart. When business started picking up, he bought a Ford truck which his son Emmanuel started driving. When the Second World War was over, he started buying vehicles being sold by the army to be able to start building his transport business. Eventually, his eight sons started helping out and gradually built the business to what it is today. Since those early years, the company has gone to become a major player offering services that range from Cargo Carriers, Container & Transport Operators, Customs Brokers/Agents, Freight Forwarders and Groupage Bond Operators to Haulage, Hoisting Services & Equipment, Insurance intermediary services, Logistics Storage & Warehousing, Lifting Equipment, Shipping Agents, Truck loading, Air Freight Services, Pick & Pack Services and Trailer Operations.
